Riot was so impressed with the work that they commissioned Fortiche to make an animated series, which took them several years to create. After the release of the first season, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce. Performed by Imagine Dragons ft J.I.D.. Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters, growing up and getting into trouble in the dual cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops you right into this fictional world, time and care is taken to set up the locations and characters in a commendable way of showing, not telling.
The animation is simply exquisite
The solid character development and world-building make this a thoroughly enjoyable watch without knowing anything about the game. As an anime fan, I found the animation in Arcane to be beyond anything I had ever seen in an anime series before. There is incredible attention to detail.
It is clear that no artistic talent or monetary expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life
A great soundtrack, great acting, and a gripping story that pulls no punches when it comes to violence and more adult themes. The first three episodes are out, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!.
