Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew”; and more stars from a galaxy far, far away
Story
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet, which leads them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same as Chewbacca’s family hour in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).
Featured in the cast of AniMat Crazy Cartoon: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022)
Knowing that there’s a lot of hate directed at this series due to the recent ups and downs of Star Wars, I’m happy to say that this is an upswing. So far…The first two episodes aren’t groundbreaking or very original, but that’s okay because it works well throughout.
It gives me strong Treasure Planet vibes
The cast and their acting are great, the costuming/staging is probably the best we’ve seen since Andor, the writing, especially the funny banter between the kids, was good. Again, nothing new, but it’s still fascinating and I’m excited to keep watching.
Don’t give the "kids" speech a shot
As someone who hasn’t personally enjoyed the recent Star Wars, Skeleton Crew surprised me. I hope anyone who’s been a little intrigued or even shocked by the recent shows will give it a shot.
